Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 20, 2026.
Duelo ("we", "the app") is a quiz duel game. This policy explains what data we process, why, and your rights. We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data controller
Duelo's publisher is the controller of your data. For any data-related question or request: support@duelo.app.
2. Data we process
• Account: on first launch, an anonymous player ID is created automatically (no email required). If you sign in with Apple or Google, or link an email address, we process that identifier and/or address.
• Profile: username, country, avatar, banner, title and bio that you choose.
• Gameplay: scores, games played, match history, XP, level, league, streaks, statistics.
• Social: friends list, messages exchanged with friends, and community themes you create.
• Technical: push notification token (if you enable it), basic usage data, and data stored locally on your device (preferences, offline progress).
We do not collect precise location, your contacts, or biometric data. "Country" is a display preference you choose.
3. Why we process this data
• Provide the game: matchmaking, running matches, saving your progress.
• Social features: friends, friend duels, messages, leaderboards.
• Notifications: alert you to a challenge or event (only if you enable them).
• Safety and moderation: prevent cheating, abuse and inappropriate content.
Legal bases (GDPR): performance of the service (contract), legitimate interest (improvement and security), and consent (notifications).
4. Processors and sharing
We do not sell your data. We rely on providers that process it on our behalf:
• Supabase — database, authentication and backend hosting.
• Vercel — web app hosting.
• Apple / Google — sign-in (if used) and delivery of push notifications.
The app currently contains no third-party advertising or ad-analytics tools.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account; your associated personal data is then erased. You may also contact us to exercise this right.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction and objection. You can exercise them in the app or by writing to support@duelo.app. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Children
Duelo is intended for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us for its deletion.
8. Security and transfers
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. Some providers may process data outside the EU; where applicable, appropriate safeguards apply.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. For significant changes we will notify you in the app. The last-updated date appears at the top of this document.
